About the Speaker
Tom Panas has been a media relations specialist for 25 years. For the past 12 years, he has been National Public Relations Director for the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, a Catholic non-profit organization dedicated to spirituality and charity. Before that he held media relations positions in various industries including medical, pharmaceutical, cable and classical music. Companies he worked for include Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, NYDEC Open MRI of America, Arts and Entertainment Television Network, Showtime, Lifetime Television, the Travel Channel and Carnegie Hall, among others. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, he studied theater at Boston University where he obtained his M.F.A. in theater arts. Panas was then an actor for 10 years, performing on Broadway, with touring shows and in summer theaters. An accomplished public speaker, he is a long-standing member of Toastmasters International, where he has been club president and has won numerous public speaking competitions.
