Qin Gao Quoted by The Telegraph on Sustainability of China’s Anti-poverty Drive

In a recent news report of The Telegraph published in the UK, Qin Gao, Professor and Director of the Columbia China Center for Social Policy, was quoted to highlight that the sustainability of China’s anti-poverty drive means considering “whether the work opportunities are there so people can truly become self-sufficient. Expanding education and health support for the poor is also very important. Without investing in human capital, especially for poor children, there is no long- term escape of poverty.”
