What Is CCSP
As the first center of its kind founded within a U.S. school of social work, the China Center is a hub for innovation and action on social welfare in China. Partnerships with major universities, think tanks, and international organizations make the Center a global platform to share scientific findings, develop policy, and form community. The Center’s global relationships also make it a natural career incubator for Chinese students and others working on social welfare topics pertaining to China.
Through interdisciplinary research, the Center’s scholars address social concerns, including but not limited to: poverty, employment, income distribution, gender equality, rural-to-urban migration, and the Asian-American immigrant experience in the United States.
By bringing together a community of scholars, students, and service providers, the China Center advances social policy research while providing the next generation of practitioners with much-needed professional development.
