April Goh is a policy-track graduate student at Columbia University School of Social Work with a focus on gender-based violence. There is a disturbing universality to violence against women that crosses geography, culture, religion, and socioeconomic status, and this reality shapes her outside-in approach to systems change. Formerly in finance and now transitioning careers, she is currently a practicum student at the China Center for Social Policy, contributing to the China COVID Project under the mentorship of Professor Qin Gao and Stacie Tao.
