Bio

Mark Sidel is Doyle-Bascom Professor of Law and Public Affairs, University of Wisconsin-Madison and a specialist on civil society and the law in China as well as India and Vietnam. He earlier served in senior program roles with the Ford Foundation in Beijing, Hanoi, Bangkok and New Delhi and has consulted widely in China and beyond with foundations, donor agencies and international nongovernmental organizations.
