Bio

Ruijie (Janice) Bi is a master’s candidate of the Nonprofit Management program at Columbia University. She received her double bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Global & International Studies from the University of California, Irvine. Through her studies, Janice has unfolded her specific interests in policy and the institutional construction of social development and welfare. Her honor research thesis in analyzing the One Belt and One Road Initiative's Silk Road Economic Belt policy impact on the institutional-led urban development of Xi'an leads her to associate international policies interpretation with urban policy and social development. Janice is also interested in learning the legislative policy advocacy strategic models with a current focus on Asian Americans in mental wellness management and the education policy arena.
