Sui Yang is an assistant professor in the Rural Development Institute at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and research fellow in China Institute for Income Distribution at Beijing Normal University where she received her Ph.D. in economics in 2014. She studies social policy and poverty alleviation in China through comparative lenses and has published in the Journal of Social Policy, World Development, Social Policy and Society, Chinese Journal of Population Science, The Journal of World Economy, among others. She is currently working on a project that examines income mobility in rural and urban China.
