Qin Gao, Professor at the Columbia School of Social Work and Director of the Columbia China Center for Social Policy, will co-edit a special issue on "Poverty alleviation in Asia: A comparative perspective" with Alex Jingwei He of the Education University of Hong Kong for the Journal of Asian Public Policy.
This special issue seeks to publish a set of rigorous empirical studies on how various Asian countries use similar or different approaches to address poverty and achieve more prosperous and just societies. Adopting a comparative perspective, the Journal is looking for articles that use quantitative or qualitative methods from multiple disciplines to offer updated evidence on poverty alleviation across Asia.
