Qin Gao Will Host Candice Yandam, One of the 2018 Doctoral Mobility Grantees on Behalf of the China Center for Social Policy

The Alliance Doctoral Mobility Grant is intended to support and finance transatlantic research projects of the highest quality, in all disciplines, under the joint supervision of faculty members from Columbia, Sciences Po, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and École Polytechnique. The Alliance Scientific Committee selected 15 projects from a competitive cohort of applications.

Candice Yandam, one of the winners of the 2018 Alliance Doctoral Mobility grants, will come to Columbia Center for Social Policy in spring 2019 to study for three months on her project "Labor Contractualization: Empirical Evidence on Chinese Workers’ Welfare". Qin Gao, director of the China Center and an expert on social protection for migrant workers in China, will be her host and supervisor.
