Doctoral Fellow Xiaoran Wang Received the Arts and Social Sciences International Doctoral Practicum Fund from the University of New South Wales

Xiaoran Wang, a doctoral candidate at Fordham University and a doctoral fellow of the Columbia China Center for Social Policy, has been selected to receive the Arts and Social Sciences International Doctoral Practicum Fund from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). The competitive award provides funding support for international doctoral exchange students to undertake supervised research with the faculty at UNSW.

Xiaoran Wang’s research will focus on the cultural expectations of child care among Chinese families having children with disabilities across Sydney, Beijing, and New York City. Her research practicum will receive the joint supervision from the scholars at UNSW Social Policy Research Centre and Columbia China Center for Social Policy.
