Bio
Jiawen Cui is a graduate student at the Columbia School of Social Work, focusing on the well-being of refugees and asylum seekers. She is interested in how policy impacts a range of migration outcomes in health service utilization, mental health status, socioeconomic status, home cultural preservation, education attainment, and employment opportunity. Jiawen is currently working as a research assistant under Dr. Qin Gao at the China Center for Social Policy, focusing on the Voice of Chinese American project. Jiawen completed her undergraduate studies at Hainan University in China.
