Yu Yang

Bio

Yu Yang is a doctoral candidate in the Graduate School of Social Service at Fordham University. She received her MSW from Columbia University School of Social Work. Her research interests include child development, urban poverty, and rural-to-urban migration in China. Previously she worked as a research assistant at the Industrial and Regional Development Research Center at Sun Yat-sen University in China. She has been working as a research associate at the Guangdong Research Academy of Decision Science at Sun Yat-sen University since 2016. Yu is currently working on her dissertation to examine the association between maternal depression and child outcomes, focusing on single mothers living in poverty in the U.S.
